Adam Gordon
Co-Founder

Adam Gordon is a candidate generation expert who founded Social Media Search in 2009 before taking it into a joint-venture with Norman Broadbent plc in 2012. Adam is an NLP Master Practitioner with qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Iain Cochrane
Technical Advisor

Iain is Technical Lead at Idox plc where he’s worked for 15 years (since University!). He is an experienced Java developer who now focuses on full stack programming, delivering responsive, client side solutions and helping bring new technologies on board.

Richard Beattie
Commercial Advisor

Richard is a technologist with a passion for innovation and assisting entrepreneurs realise their ideas. Over the past 13 years Richard has worked with over 100 early stage technology companies assisting them in raising equity investment, building executive and non-executive teams and taking new products to international markets.

Alastair Blair
Editor-in-Chief

An award-winning copywriter and author, accomplished researcher, trainer, social media and analytics expert, Alastair has more than 25 years’ experience in recruitment marketing, including heading the recruitment and marketing division of Euro RSCG Riley (now Havas People) across the UK. He oversees Candidate.ID’s client content production and, independently, offers a wide range of consulting services in recruitment, HR and the media, through thePotentMix.

Darshan Kundi
Finance Manager

Originally from London, Darshan has now made Glasgow her home, and her strong financial background which makes her perfectly suited to keeping Candidate.ID’s finances on track. On top of being an Excel Wizard, Darshan has experience as a voluntary counsellor for a children’s charity and harbours a deep wishes of being a Grammy – winner worthy singer. Darshan is an incredibly valuable member of the Candidate.ID team, especially because she will loyally laugh at everyone’s jokes, even the terrible ones.

Christine Black
Client Services and Operations Manager

Christine has been with Candidate.ID right from the beginning. As well as sitting at the helm of projects with international clients such as BDO LLP in the past, Christine also gained her professional marketing qualifications from the CIM while keeping the SMS office in ship shape. We’re exhausted just thinking about it, but she still has enough energy to squeeze in her love of running and spending time with her family.

Emma Baxter
Digital Marketing and Social Media Executive

Emma is a recent addition to Candidate.ID, having just graduated from the University of Glasgow. While studying she created and implemented an online strategy for the university Boat Club, and she is excited to bring her social media savvy and love of the written word to the Candidate.ID team. When not in pursuit of the perfect fish supper, Emma enjoys making detailed exercise plans and not sticking to them, reading and stripes.

Siobhan Brady
Social Media Analyst

Siobhan worked in retail whilst studying at Glasgow Caledonian University, where she graduated from with a BA Hon Marketing. An experienced member of the Candidate.ID research team, Siobhan is excited about developing her marketing and business development skills within a social media environment. Siobhan has her eye on sunnier climates and loves holidaying in Gran Canaria, but when she must be in Scotland, prefers to spend gloomy Glasgow days tucked up with some Diet Coke and a Netflix marathon.

Jennifer Fingland graduated in 2012 from Glasgow Caledonian University with a BA Hons Business and Management. Since graduating she has worked in retail and customer service based roles. She is now looking forward to further developing her research, marketing and business development skills in a social media environment.

Laura Hillhouse
Social Media Analyst

Laura is fresh from Glasgow Caledonian University with a degree in International Business with French. Laura’s background is in retail, having worked throughout her time at university, but is now excited for a change. As well as honing her French language skills with a five month stint in Toulouse, Laura is also a Scottish Cheerleading Champion, and coaches cheerleading in her spare time.
